Adventures In Sawdust

I began woodworking in December of 2019. I wanted a hobby that would allow me time away from the regular workday and home life that has the habit in turning all of us into slaves of routine. I found myself wanting more out of my everyday and my weekends especially. I wanted something that would allow me to build something, allowed me to practice and hone a skill, as well as something that if necessary I could put down and walk away from for a time if I needed to. I had a fish tank for a time that, while I loved it, was something you had to work at consistently otherwise fish die. Nobody dies if I have to put down a project for a week due to unforeseen circumstances.

From the time I began I thoroughly enjoyed my time spent in our small 2-car garage building odds and ends for relatives, coworkers, and myself. I have seriously watched enough youtube videos on woodworking to probably drive most crazy with how much I am now obsessed with this hobby. I've also spent a small fortune on new tools as I progress and get slightly more sophisticated. I have found that I take a lot of enjoyment from taking rough lumber and turning it into a new piece of furniture whether it be a table or a small cheese board.

My goal for this website was to have a way to express my interest, sale the items I make, and to connect with a new community of like minded folks. I am super excited about moving forward in this hobby and look forward to furthering my expertise.
